This years Golf Outing Fundraiser to support Backpack Buddies will be held October 28, 2024 at Debary Country Club. The past two years we’ve been able to raise $22,765.00 for Backpack Buddies.

As a Non-Profit, we are a Registered 501(c)3 Organization, and are therefore, able to donate 100% of the funds raised directly to other Non-Profit organizations.

Our Mission is to eliminate food insecurity in children and families in West Volusia County. Kelli Marks, President, thanks the VGMC for all the financial support and food supplies.

Though first conceived as a program to provide weekend meals to school age children, Backpack Buddies has quickly changed to whole family program due to the high-level of food insecurity in our community. We accomplish our mission through four pillars: School Backpack Program; Monthly Food Drops; Pantry and Kids Helping Kids.

We have empowered the women of Victoria Gardens to help others as they help themselves. We socialize with a purpose during our monthly meetings and Friendship Branches. Many ladies volunteer their time, energy and talent to our designated charities.

Our 501(c)3 designation in 2019 was the turning point for our club, founded in 2005, and established the club as a registered non-profit organization. VGWC members join together to plan and implement strategic charitable actions in support of our four target areas: Families in Transition, Seniors in Need, Children at Risk and Education/ Scholarship Initiatives.
